The town of Lavoye, in Wyoming, has been literally wiped off the map and its 1606 inhabitants have been deprived of their homes bv the ruling of Federal Judge Kennedy, who ordered the entire village and its populace to move and make a. clear path for the giant of industry—petroleum. Public buildings, business houses, homes — everything must go. The judge decreed that the Ohio Oil Company leased the land and is entitled to possession within 6ixty days.
The Casper (Wyoming) Oil Company and the town of Lavoye will fight for their existence in the court of appeal, where an appeal has heen lodged.
