The Daily Mail's Bagdad correspondent says that bandits fired at a convoy of two motor-cars proceeding to Beyrout across the desert. They killed the wife of the French Vice-Consul at Bagdad 'and ransacked the luggage of one car. The second car put on speed and escaped. Armoured cars and aeroplanes are pursuing the bandits. —Sydney Sun Cable.
