MUNICIPALITIES CONFER.. (BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION. WELLINGTON, March 6. Representatives of tramway owning municipalities from all parts of New Zealand met in conference in the City Council chambers to consider means of controlling privatelv-owned motoromnibuses which are in* competition with electric tramways. The press was' not admitted, hut at the conclusion of the eonlerenc-o the .Mayor stated that an agreement had been arrived at a.s to the’principles involved, and the Minister was to be waited on at. an early date with a view to the enactment, of certain legislation.
