It is reported from Hastings that All Black George Nepia, described by some English critics as the greatest full-back of all time, will, on his return to New Zealand, re-enter the Maori Agricultural College to complete his studies. Mr John Ball, who has occupied the editorial chair of the Wanganui Chronicle for over 20 years, has tendered his resignation, and will sever his connection with the paper on the 31st inst. Mr C. C. Moss, local manager of Johnson and Co., left Hawera this morning by the mail train for the south.
