OPERA HOUSE. “THE UNKNOWN.” Three kinds of of adolescent youth, that of a sincere man, and that of a man whose love is dominated by his susceptibility to physical attractions, are pictured in “K —The Unknown,” a Universal Jewel to be shown at the Opera House this even; ing. Virginia Valli is the star of this screen version of the story “K,” one of the most widely read of the wealth of fiction that has come from the pen of Mary Roberts Rinehart. Harry A.. Pollard directed, and the cast includes Margarita Fishery John Roche, Franeis Feeney, Maurice Ryan, and Myrtle Vane." An excellent supporting programme will be presented.
THE GRAND. “LILIES OF~THE FIELD.” \ A picture brilliant from the opening title to the final fadeout is “Liliee of the Field,” First’s National picturisation of William Hurlburt’s stage play, which opens at the Grand to-night. In the new picture, which was directed by John Francis Dillon, society life is painted as it has never been shown before. Corinne Griffith and Conway Tearle add much to 1 their popularity by their portrayals. Miss Griffith especially does splendid work. Splendid characterisations are also given by Sylvia Breamer as the faded lily, Myrtle Stedman, Charlie Murray, Charles . Gerrard, Edith Raraom, Alma Bennett, Dorothy Brock, Phyllis Haver and Craufurd Kent. A fine supporting programme will also he presented.
