Mr W. C. White mid Miss Gladys White are due home by to-night’s mail train after an extended tour abroad in England and on the Continent. The Brussels correspondent of the Times says the Belgian Government promptly responded to the appeal from the inhabitants of Wanganui, through the Belgian Consul at Auckland, for a quantity of Belgian soil, which they desire to include in the memorial they are erecting to commemorate the Wanganui men killed in Belgium.
