The Shah’s position has been further undermined by the appointment of Sirdar Sepah, the claimant to the throne, as coinmander-in-chiel, with wider powers. The •Shall is at present, in the Italian Riviera, and has been absent from Persia for two years. He intends to strongly resist the demands for his abdication. —Sydney Sun Cable. [Sepah a few days ago delivered an ultimatum to the Persian Parliament, demanding the abdication of the Shah and the appointment of Sepah in his place.]
