INFANTILE PARALYSIS.
POSITION IN HAWERA. The position has not changed so far as the Hawera Health District is concerned, and the mpdical superintendent at the hospital advises that, lie has nothing further to report, and that the eases under observation are progressing satisfactorily. The district health officer, however, has advice of the notification of a suspected case from W'aitotara. LAST NIGHT’S REPORTS. (BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND, Eeh. 18. Auckland city continues to he free from infantile paralysis. Only two cases were notified in the district today, one being a young woman from St Heliers and the other a child aged two, from Alaungaturoto. INVERCARGILL, Feb. 18. ,
A case of infantile paralysis, that of a two-veav-old child, lias been definitely diagnosed at Riverton. The Health Department state- that it is a contact case, and they have taken the usual precautions.
