MINISTER FOR LANDS.
TOUt OF TARANAKI. HAW HR A TO BE VISITED (By Telegraph.—Special to the Star.) WELLINGTON, Feb. 11. The Minister tor Lands, the Hon. Mr. McLeod, will leave Wellington next Wednesday on a week’s tour ol Taranaki district. He will arrive at Wanganui in the early evening. He will receive deputations there and intendsi to remain overnight at Wanganui and all next day On. Friday he will inspect certain lands in the Hawera and Eltham dis. fcricts, proceeding t<> Stratford to meet a. deputation in the evening. On Saturday he will leave for Wliangamoranna. where he will inspect landwhich were the subject of a report by the recent commission. On Tuesday, the 24th, Mr. McLeod will attend a meeting of the Torigariro National Park Board, which will discuss th" mountain hostel question, and he will leave to return to Wellington early the following morning.
Mr O. Hawken, M.P. for Egmont, informed the Star to-day that the Minister expects to he in Hawera next Thursday night and in Stratford on Friday night. He will visit the Parihaka settlement on Friday, and the Whangamomona district on Saturday, returning to Flthnm on Saturday night.
