CAUSING MUCH DAMAGE.
FRONT OF TWENTY MILES

A bush fire, advancing on a front of twenty mile's, caused considerable ciam.ge in the south-west. George Dennis was overtaken by the flames and was found burned to death on ms farm at Kattinning. There were many narrow escapes. r l'he fire was one of the worst in the history of the district. Farms on its track were burned out, many miles of ten ring was destroyed, and many sheep ; iid cattle were burned. The fire is now burning six to eight miles along the west side of the railway line.
