SPORTING.
TRACK NOTES. All work was clone on the plough at Hawera this morning. Sunny Vale and Blue Peter were first out and, they went six furlongs in 1.18. Sunny Vale* led slightly at the finish. Bonogue went four furlongs in 51 1-5. Vaward went the same distance in 51. Sunsliot finished in front of Eerie over a mile done in 1.4 G. Shut Eye and Solferange ran five furlongs in 1.4, the last four in 52see. The Cup candidates Muraahi and Avola galloped a. mile and a quarter. The former went well and easily accounted, for Avola. The time was 2.12. finished several lengths in front of Interest at the end of seven furlongs in 1.33. Lady Bentinck galloped by herself over four furlongs. Glengariff and The Banker were associated in a seven furlong go run in 1.32. The Banker held the advantage. Carnbce was in front of Te Kawa and two others at the end of six furlongs in 1.19 1-5. Lady Anstruther fiishecl in front of Royal Mint over half a mile run in 52 l-ssec. Insurance went very well over four furlongs in 51 see.. Te Kawa, who has been scratched for the Waipapa Handicap, in all probability will not start at the meeting.
