INFANTILE PARALYSIS.
NEW CASES REPORTED. , (BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND, Jan. 27. Six more- cases of infantile paralysis have been notified in the Auckland health district. . . A girl, aged eight years, died in hospital to-day from the disease. The total oases for January is now 49, and nine deaths have occurred. WANGANUI, Jau. 27.
Four eases of infantile paralysis were notified to-day. One death also occurred. MASTERITON, Jan. 2i. Another ease- of iinfantile paralysis was admitted to hospital to-day, making fourteen since the outbreak. The patient wa« a resident in. the borough. CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 27.
The suspected case of infantile paralysis in Papanui has not been definitely diagnosed, and present indications point the’ other way. The patient’s condition is improving. A suspected case was reported from Spreydon this afternoon, and the patient has been removed to hospital for observation.
