TO-DAY’S SITTING. (Before Messrs E. Dixon and C. O. Ekdahl, J.P.’s.) CIVIL CASES. In the Magistrate’s Court this morning judgment by default was given in the following cases: Emil Tobler v. L. Reardon, claim £1 2s 6d, costs 11s; P. W. Gardner v. A. B. Ireland, £l4 15s Bd, costs £3 Is; C. H. Nagel v. R. McKenzie, £B, costs £1 18s Gd. ALLEGED OBSCENE LANGUAGE. On a charge of using obscene language in a railway carriage, O. Harris, who failed to appear at Timaru, and who was arrested at Normanby, was remanded until 10.30 a.m. on Saturday, January 24.
