LINESMAN ELECTROCUTED.

FATALITY AT NEW PLYMOUTH. (by TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Jan. 20. A linesman named Richard Mitchell, a married man. employed by the Borough Council, was electrocuted this morning while erecting new lines. He was on a ladder passing a new line over an arm on a pole, when apparently his shirt came in contact with live wires. His mates saw the shirt smouldering and helped him down, but doctors who were called in and who were in immediate attendance, pronounced life to be extinct.
