The local team passed the visitors’ score, making 310 to 290 in the first innings (McGirr 76, Badcock 57, Barclay 34, James 44, Brice 22, Henderson 22 not out). Otago’s second innings produced 182 (Worker 23, McMullan 21, 11. Alloo 17, A. Alloo 11, Dickinson 10, Cherry 17. I Knight 10, Duncan 23, Galland 21,,Torrance 10 not out).
