MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
(Before Messrs S. Blake and G. H. Buckeridge, J’s.P.) BY-LAW CASES. A. E. Western, wlm did not appear, on a charge of allowing a heifer to wander in Erin Street, was fined 10s,. and costs 17s 6d. Carlisle Bartlett was charged with leaving a motor-car unattended and without lights in Victoria Street on November 25. He was fined 5s and costs 7s. CIVIL CASES.
Judgment by default was given in the following undefended eases: —W. .T. Bright v. S. Tobeck, £5 7s (costs £1 11s 6d); B. R. Long v. R. Castle, £1 2s 64 (costs 11s); E. H. Harrop v. R. J. Winthrop, £l4 19s 4d (costs £2 19s); Commissioner of Taxes v. Geo. A. Pickering, £2 13s 7d (costs 12s); C. W. Young v. J. Varley, £3 (costs £1 17s fid); C. E. Brooke v. T. Northeott, £3 17s (costs £1 8s fid). Tenement summons. —Guardian Trust and Executors Co., Ltd*, v. Ada Scott, £1 8s (costs 13s). All judgment summons eases, were adjourned to January 29, when the magistrate would be sitting.
