OHAWE BEACH

MEETING OF COMMITTEE. A meeting held on Wednesday evening at Mr Harris’ residence was presided over by Mr N. H. C. Caplen. Various matters were dealt with and discussed. It was reported that the total amount received and promised for New Year’s Day was something over £l2. t The committee decided to pay over £5 to the Domain Board on behalf of the repairs to the windmill, and reported that work had been done and material supplied, which would be equivalent to a considerable amount. A previous resolution to make'- a-see-saw for the children, the eimber being considered too heavy, was rescinded, and the matter of dealing with it was left with the chairman and Mr Harris. The hon. secretary reported that work bad been done at the bottom of the road, and some of the steps had been concreted. A vote of thanks to the /chairman and toi Mr Harris for use of the room was carried by acclamation.
