DEAD SIX MONTHS
AN UNKNOWN MAN. INQUEST AT MATAMATA. (BY TELEGRAPF. PRESS ASSOCIATIONMATAMATA, Jan. 6. Since the remains of a man ' were found in a decomposed state alongside the railway .line between Hinuera and Oko-roire, three months ago, the police have been making inquiries, and some 'eight- or nine claimants to the body have been interviewed. None of these was able to identify the boots or false teeth, but the. police are of opinion that the body is that of a man named Andrews, who lias been missing about a year. Idle Coroner at Matamata returned the following verdict:. There is no means of knowing how deceased met his death'. The body was discovered a few yards from the railway track and the main road, and death had occurred from six to twelve months previously. %
