It is officially reported from Tangier that the situation in the Spanish zone is as follows: General Saro halted at the Ainghennen frontier of the international zone with 3000 men awaiting reinforcements to relieve Malieisa .in the An.jera district, the only post remaining to be relieved; whereafter the Spanish troops retire to the line established hv De Rivera on December 20. The Spanish killed and wounded total 171 in the operations on January 1 and 2. The insurgents invested Seguedla hear the international bridge. Spanish aerial bombardments heavily punished the villages and six warships bombarded the const on January 2. Tho Spanish Command intends to establish posts round the frontier of the international zone.
