PARK ,v. WAVERLEY. On Boxing Day five Park rinks journeyed to Waverley, and, as is usual, had a splendid time both morning and afternoon. Waverley thus won on the day by 32 points. NEW YEAR’S DAY. A progressive pairs tournament will be held on Park green on New Year’s Day, commencing at 9 a.m. Those who propose to take part should .see that their names are on the notice board, otherwise there will be some disappointment, as was the case last year. SYME SHIELD. , The annual contest for the Syme Shield will take place on the Hawera green on Friday, play commencing at 9 a.in. Four rinks each, from Patea, Man ai a, Park and Hawera Clubs are eligible to take nart, the tronhv being at present held by Manaia.
