At a meeting of farmers at Worcester a farmer asked Mr. Hylands the president of the, Farmers’ Union', whether the proposed grant of a million sterling to the Dominions for improved marketing would not be harmJul to British agriculture. Mr. R.yland replied that it would be monstrously unfair if the State, being unwilling to help British farmers, was going to help people overseas to beat down British prices. It would be the Union s duty tp see that British agriculture did not suffer under the scheme.
