The newspaper Messagero states that Mussolini informed the various Fascist, deputies that his recent electoral reform announcement was made because he desired to compormise with his enemies. “It is not my habit to make compromises with anyone, ” he, said. “I proposed electoral reform on my own initiative. It is part of the plan of reforni I have in mind/which I intend to chrry out from time to time. The Matteotti trial will take place. I have hbthing to fear, as justice will be done.”
[Mussolini, Italy’s Premier, has decided to bring into operation the English one-member constituency principle, though the result 'may be the defeat ofthe Fascists,' of whom he is the head. Matteotti-, who is referred' to, was a Socialist deputy who was murdered allegedly by Fascists.]
