HAWERA-TE KUITI RELIABILITY TRIAL. The annual reliability trial of • the Hawei’a .Motor Cycle Club will he held on December .26 and 27, from Hawera to T© Kuiti and return. The route selected will he through Mokau and the Awakino Valley rc ad, a distance of 300 miles, and passing through some of the finest scenery in New Zealand; Three, classes haVe been arrangedr A, for solo machines of any capacity, compensating time being allowed for lightweights;, B, side-car with adult passenger, any capacity; C, team, consisting of one machine over 500 c.c., one machine under 500 c.c. and one sidecar .‘outfit. Teams must be nominated by a motor cycle club. All arranger ments for luncheon at Awakino and accommodation at Te Kuiti have been arranged, and" in the case of. visiting riders accommodation bill be provided at Hawera by request. Competitors will ,be allowed a tyre-repair outfit, a set of. tyre .levers, and an oil can, all other tools having to be sealed. The trial will be conducted on a time schedule, 5 conditions of machines, etc.; and will be controlled by secret checks. Entries for the annual reliability trial to Te Kuiti and • back this year total 49, and the start from the Post Office, Hawera, ’ should prove of more than passing interest to motor > cycle enthusiasts. All makes of machines are represented, and the various classes are ivell filled. Arrangements’ have been' made at .Te Kuiti: for a trip to the Wait'pmo Oaves on the evening of Boxing Day.
