Mr W. D. Campbell, of the firm of Raymond, Raymond and Campbell, has been appointed Crown Solicitor ;at Timaru in succession ,to Mr J. W. White, who recently resigned.-—Press Association.
Mr T. L. Cooper, from Dunedin, who will succeed Mr Cameroii on the staff of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., arrived by the mail train last higlit. Mr Cameron will leave Hawera on Thursday. : Mr R. E. G. Dowling has passed his second professional examination at London University as a veterinary surgeon with honours. Mr Dowling is a son of Mrs Dowling; of Argyle street, Hawera, and was in business as a chemist in Hawera for several years. W. H. Anderson, postmaster at Eltham, has received notice of his transfer, on prbmotion, to ! 'lnvercargill, as senior supervisor of telegraphs Before -coming to: Eltham, Mr Anderson was telegraph supervisor- at Wanganui. ‘ Mr -Anderson joined the Postal Department at Waverley 32 years ago, and ; has been stationed at idawke s Bay, Ghristclnirclij Auckland province, Nelson and Taranaki. During his: thre e years in Eltham, Mr Anderson has been a most courteous and efficient postmaster, and general regret will be felt at his impending departy 1 0.
