ROAD TRAFFIC.

LORRY DRIVERS. At the meeting of the Stratford County Council on Saturday two questions were brought up concerning lorry drivers on the roads. The North Taranaki Automobile Association urged that the drivers should be obliged to carry mirrors on. their lorries, and a ratepayer wrote in reference to the trouble often experienced in getting some lorry drivers to pull off in ordei to- allow other traffic to pa«s. —The council said in reply to the association that the inspector had instructions to see that the by-law re mirrors was observed. In regard to the other matter, they said they had no power to take any action.
