AUTOMNE SCRATCHED
FOR A.R.C. MEETING. It was reported during the week that all was not well with Automne, it being stated that he contracted a cold and had gone off liis feed. At 7 o’clock on Tuesday evening the Auckland Racing Club were advised that Automne was scratched for the Great Northern Foal Stakes and the Royal Stakes. This is very bad luck for his owppr, IVTr D J. - Barry, who looked to have a good claim on the former event with Automne. who is as yet an unbeaten two-vear-old. —Auckland Star.
