LEVEL CROSSING ACCIDENT.

TWO MEN KILLED. Cut telegraph—press association. CHRISTCHURCH, Dee. 15. A level crossing smash, resulting nr the death of two men, . occurred at Burnham last night, Duncan Stuart, of Cheviot, and Edward Reeves, of Christchurch,' btMiig the victims. The men wore travelling over the crossing at an ordinary pace in a motor-cycle, and side-car, when the south express', Travelling at Jo miles an hour, dashed into them. Reeves was Inn-led over a fence, and Stuart was lilerally tern to pieces, having been curried on the engine about 200 yards. The cycle and side-car, which comprised a mass of unrecognisable- iron, were thrown in the air and dropped some distance down the line. Stuart was killed instantly. Reeves was picked up unconscious, and died in the. Christchurch hospital later. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT LONDON, Dec. 13. The Scotch express crashed into a motor car at a level crossing near Crewe, three occupants of the ear being killed instantly and their bodies hurled fifty yards. The car became entangled on the front of the engine.
