ELDERLY MAN’S DEATH. SEARCH FOR ASSAILANT. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCJATION —COPYRIGHT (Received Dec. 15, 12.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, Dec. 15. —A he dead body of a man, believed to be that of James Dwyer, about 60 years of age, was found on the road close to Bowenfels Station, near Lithgow. The head was severely battered and the throat deeply cut. There were sevstabs in the region of the heart. Ihe police are of the oninion that it is a case of murder, and, by residents, they are scouring the neighbourhood in search of the perpetrator of the foul deed.
