The difficulties of the Spanish withdrawal from Morocco is illustrated by the experiences of one column, which masses of the enemy harassed throughout, despite the fire of Spanish artillery and airmen. The rearguard consisted of armoured ears, two of which were upset in the deplorable roads. An aeroplane barrage prevented the enemy capturing the cars. The Petit Parisian’s Madrid correspondent understands that France has requested the Spanish Government to explain its intentions with regard to part of Spanish Morocco which Spanish troops are evacuating.
