STARR-ROWKTT SOCIETY.
ANNUAL MEETING. The annual general meeting of the stallholders of tlie Starr-Bowkett Building Society was held last evening, there was a good attendance of members. The annual report and balance-sheet of the three groups were forma Ir\ adopted. These disclosed a very satisfactory condition of the society, the second and third groups showing consideiable profit on the yearns working. The first group is now approaching completion, and a very short time should see every member leceiving his appropriation. The retiring directors. Messrs F. Squire, J. Rauch, and M. Barraclough, were re-elected, as was also the shareholders’ auditor, Mr C. M. Raggett.
Appropriations in the various giovp? were made as follows: First group , by ballot, Messrs W. J. Guerin and G. L. Millars £3OO each and Mrs. M. Vizer 0150. In the second and third groups appropriations of £4OO each by sale were made, the premium in the second group being £2OO, and in tfm third £lO9
Mr. F. Squire was re-elected chairman at the subsequent meeting of directors.
