ODDFELLOWS.
I-lUIA LODGE. An ordinary fortnightly meeting of ,Huia Lodge, No. 9, was held in the Orange Hall. N.G. Bro. L. Storm presided. The secretary was recommended to write Mrs Arthur, of New Plymouth, thanking her for the work done on behalf of the lodge for the children’s Christmas tree. Accounts amounting to £ll Os 9d were nassed for payment. It was resolved that Grand "Lodge audit and keep books to date. One intending member was presented for initiation. A scheme for the benefit of country members was brought uo by Bro. Finlay, and left in the hand's of the Medical Committee to discuss. A motion was then moved to the eft'ett that the trustees and secretary be authorisd to open a No. 2 account for the two-thirds medical fund. It was arranged that a social evening, with Christmas tree, be held on the evening of December 18. The meeting then closed.
