Ik New York’s right to the title of the city of skyscrapers will be undisputed for some time to come if an eightyeight "storey office building is to be erected in Lower. Broadway.” The fact that such a building is contemplated is vouched for by the. architect who* designed the 51-storey Woolworth-Build-ing, at present rated as the .vtallest office structure in the world. ' ■ He states that tests will be . made shortly to determine the extent , that the Woolworth Buildings sways in heavy gales, and the purpose oft these tests is to ascertain the practicableness of an 88-storev building, arid if practicable it will be built. The exact location has not yet been fixed,- but presumably, from the general Ideation indicated, it will be near enough to overshadow 'the Woolworth Building.
