Intending new members are specially invited. As the first, social event under the auspices of the newly formed Rowan Tennis Club a. dance‘is to be held in the Rowan Hall to-morrow (Friday) evening. The committee includes several of the local enthusiasts, whose successful organisation of previous danees in the hall lias made it a popular rendezvous. Waltzing and novelty competitions are to be featured, and all appointments may be relied upon to give satisfaction. The added interest which will be taken in to-morrow’s dance by members of contemporary clubs should ensure a good attendance, and an enjoyable evening may be anticipated.

The young folk of .the Auroa district may look forward with pleasure to the Christmas tree in- the Sail to-morrow night. Great efforts are being made to give the children a real good time.
