The South Taranaki primary schools’ championships were continued at the Shp«grounds this afternoon, competition amongst the- children being.exceptionally keen and the finishes cfo.se and interesting.

Unfortunately rain set in after tho luncheon adjournment and made conditions unpleasant, and in view cf the slippery nature of the ground it was deemed advisable to strike the remainder of the jumping events off the programme.

At 2 p.m. the Hawera B team, with 8J points, was leading lor. the Dixon Bannei, and Okaiawa, with 7points was leading for the Bennett and Sutton Cup. ,'i.
