Bluff, according to a- resident who aired a grievance to a Southland News j representative, appears to be the happy [ hunting ground of wandering stock, ; which are a menace to public safety. (Recently a young couple who were ‘walking along Ward’s Parade had an unenviable experience. Two cows took charge of the roadway, and when the couple endeavoured to pass the animals suddenly charged. The young man endeavoured to save his companion, but ho was savagely attacked and pushed over an embankment. The animals then rushed the girl, who was thrown to the ground and badly knocked about. When the first victim reached the top of the bank he managed to rescue the girl and take her to a neighbouring house, where she received kindly attention. The girl, who was severely bruised and gashed, is suffering from j shock.
GET UP—BUCK. UP. Tnlce Marshall’s Pospherine. A discouraged man is nearly always j a sick man. Bun clown in health means run clown in spirit. ' The nerve-feeding elements of Mar- | shall’s Pospherine give new life. Sick , nerves simply drink in the vitalising properties—missing from refined modern dishes, but restored in Marshall’s Pospherine. Get the bottle in the six-sided carton—3oo closes for 2/6. Write to the proprietors, A. and W. Baxter, of Baxter’s Lung Preserver, Christehurc-h, if not easily obtained. A short course of Marshall’s Pospherine, the Mighty Tonic, will work wonders. —43 sf
