NORMANBY TOWN BOARD.
RELATIONS WITH HAWERA COUNTY COUNCIL. v DISCUSSED AT COUNCIL MEETING Dealing with' the., question of the mam roads through Normanby, the county chairman said at to-day’s meeting that the arrangement mkde in reference to the debt due to the Council was that £IOO per annum should be paid off , and all work done should be paid cash, but this had not been done. He added that the Normanby people must do something or the Highways Board would turn the work over to the Council. The old agreement of 19 04. wouldj he said, have to be scrapped. At that time the work done was good enough, but not nowadays. However they would soon get the decision of the Highways Board and would know where they stood.
