SAMOAN CHIEFS.

ARRIVE AT ROTORUA. (by TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION. ROTORUA, Dec. 5. The Samoan chiefs arrived at Rotorua by the express to-day, and were received by the Mayor (Mr C. Clinkard), councillors, representatives of the Maori race, the clergy and Mr Moorhouse, of the Department of Internal Affairs. The Mayor welcomed the guests, one of the chiefs replying, very great interest being taken in the proceedings by a big crowd. The speeches over, the guests were motored to Whakarewarewa. Entertainments are being arranged by the Maoris of a most elaborate character.
