LONDON WOOL SALES. LONDON, Dec. 4. At the London wool sales there was a miscellaneous offering. Prices were unchanged. The Bradford tops market is quiet. Topmakers are very firm, with, quotations unchanged. CANTERBURY MARKETS. (BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION. CHRISTCHURCH, Dec. 5. There is little in the market position warranting comment. There promises to he such a good yield of most crops that merchants are chary of forward business. On the other hand farmers are not disposed to trade at the lower values offering. Under the heading of plentitude of' supplies may be mentioned oats, chaff and ryegrass (particularly Italian and Western Wolths). It lias been in a good season for growth, and there is no apparent reason why potatoes should prove an exception. However, the critical month for potatoes is Februa.rv, and this is the neriod when the blight is most favoured. In regard to oats, the asiirauce of the heavy crop is curtailing forward business.
