ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN. SUPPORT FOR THE MOVEMENT. About twelve people, representing the Hawera Chamber of Commerce and the Retailers ’ Association, attended a further meeting this morning in connection with advertising South Tarsinaki in the Dominion Chrismtas issueThe committee set up reported that the canvass had been successful, and that the money required had been promised for a full page to advertise Hawera town, showing the places of interest to travellers, such as the Park, TuruturuMokai, the water tower, etc., and describing the best route through the town.to Opunake, Dawson’s Falls, and other parts of the district. Photos and a, plan will be published with the descriptive. matter. The South Taranaki Automobile Association will have a full page describing South Taranaki, drawing . attention to the important towns —Hawera, Eltharq, Kaponga, Opunake and Manaia. A description and plan of the tar-sealed roads throughout the province will be given. In this connection Opunake will boost its beach in a quarter-.page, advertiser ment, and Eltham and Kaponga- will also take spaces. . ■ ; - The president of the 'Chamber expressed thanks to tlie Automobile Association, who were the prime movers ;in the effort to boost South Taranaki, and who had made it possible for the Chamber of Commerce and the Retailers? Association to take a full page in the issue.
