AIR PROGRAMME.
WHAT BRITAIN INTENDS. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION-COPYRIGHT . LONDON, Dec. 3. ' The Minister for Air (Sir Samuel Hoare), interviewed regarding the air expansion programme, said it would be the same as when he was previously in office. He anticipated the programme would include 52 squadrons for home defence, 18 of which would be fully formed by the end of the year, and five reserve squadrons are expected to be completed in 1925.
One of the chief aims, said the Min-4 ister, was the extension of the route to India and Australia, which the Government had constantly in view as part of the scheme for closer intercourse and consultation with the Dominions. The estimates would provide for financial encouragement in the establishment of aeroplane clubs.
