Ine latest sensation in Paris is the return of ex-Captain Sadoul, an exf rencli Communist, who w'as sentenced to death m 1919 for giving intelligence to the enemy. He is now a naturalised Russian. The Petit Parisien says that Sadoul is attached to the Soviet Embassy, which the French police are wat-chiim with the intention of arresting Sadoul immediately he emerges. Le Journal and Le Matin are informed that Sadoul is not in the Embassy, which told them that the Russians scrupulously adhere to the promise not to interfere in French, domestic affairs.

Le Matin says that Sadoul is rot hiding, and returned expressly to contest the death sentence. Sadoul was arrested in a, lawyer’s office. Krassin, the new Soviet Ambassador has arrived from Berlin.
