ESTATE OF £20,000,000. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT LONDON, Dec. 1. The executors (Messrs Jenner, Brockway and Ponsonby) intimate that the Independent Labour Party .. and the Union Democratic Control may benefit as residuary legatees under the will of Mr. 11. H. Markwald, who recently died at- Montreux. He was born in Berlin and became a naturalised Australian, having resided in Australia' for thirty years. It is reported that Mr. Ramsay MacDonald. Mr Philip Snowden. Mr Arthur Ponsonby, Mr. Brockway, Mrs. Swanwick, and Mr E. D. Morel are mentioned as beneficiaries under the will, which, however, has not yet been proved. The testator’s ,son is believed to be claiming three-fourths of the estate of £20,000,000.
