LLANELLY LOSES

BY 8 POINTS TO 3. ANOTHER VICTORY. FOR ALL BLACKS. [Either the All Blacks were not out to exert themselves in yesterday’s match with Llanelly or they met a better team than they anticipated. It was not expected that there would be such a narrow margin. Of course, the Hooded nature of the ground may account for the small margin between the scores.] BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPY BIGHT , (Received Dec. 3,. 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 2. The All Blacks defeated Llanelly by 8 points to 3.—Reuter.

LONDON, Dee. 1. The' New Zealand team was as follows:

Full-back—Nepia. Three-quarters—Hart, Brown, Svenson.

Five-eighths—McGregor and Cooke, Half—Dailey. Wing-forward-—Porter.

Forwards McCleary, Irvine, M. Brownlie, C. Brownlie, Cupples, Richardson, Masters. The ground to-day was reported to be flooded. Llanelly is regarded as a formidable proposition on their own ground, and the local anticipation of a victory over the All Blaeks is most sanguine in view of their past performances against visiting combinations.

. Llanelly Rugby enthusiasts are presenting Cooke with a memento of his visit to- his father’s birthplace. Ten survivors of the Llanelly fifteen, whieh defeated the Maoris in 1888, will act as grandstand stewards to-morrow.

MATCH AGAINST ENGLAND

LONDON, Dee. 1. The All Slacks are receiving hundreds of congratulatory messages from New Zealanders resident in England. The High Cdinmissioner for New Zealand (Sir James Allen) telegraphed to the manager (Mr S. S. Dean): “Your splendid victory has written off 1905.” The Star says it is do-übtful whether the All Blacks will be beaten oh the present tour, although the fact that the match against England is fixed for a time when the New Zealanders are likely to be stale may be in England’s favour. England’s only chance lies in the immediate selection of the team, so as to enable the men to get as much combined practice as possible, and to develop enough cleverness to frustrate the All Blacks’ ingenuity in securing the ball from line-outs, from which they score 70 per cent, of their points. LLANELLY EN FETE. (Received Dec. 3, 11.40 a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 2. Llanelly 4s en fete to-day for the New Zealanders’ visit. All the works in the town and surrounding districts are. closed. School children are given a holiday in order to see the match, wherein lies Wales’ last hope of defeating the All Blacks. RESULTS TO DATE.
