A London cable message reports the ileath of the Duke of Beaufort. A Fremantle cable message states that Sir George and Ladv Fenwick are passengers by the Mongolia. A London message states that Mr Allau G. B. Fislier, previously lecturer at Melbourne University, has accepted the Chair of Economics at Dunedin. He received the London University degree of Doctor of Philosophy in October at the age of 28 years. He sails by the Mooltan on December 19. Suva reports that Sir Eyre Hutson has been appointed Governor of Fiji and High Commissioner of the Western Pacific.
