FOUR ARRESTS.

PROMINENT EGYPTIANS. nationalist 7 threats. AGAINST LORD ALLENBY. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. (Received Nov. 28, 11.15 a.m.) CAIRO, Nov. 27. Four persons have , been arrested— Nakrashi, ex-Under-Secretary for the Interior; Abdelbrahman Fahmy, described as the worst man in Egypt, and sentenced to death in connection with the Vengeance Society’s conspiracy in 1920, but commuted to penal servitude and released under the Zaghlul regime; William Makramebed, exiled with' Zaghlul, and recently accompanied him to London; arid Barakat Pasha, ex-Minister for the Interior. All were surprised in their beds and secretly gaoled. Official circles have received from numerous sources trustworthy information that the Nationalists interid to attempt Lord Allenby’s life. The guards at the Residency have been doubled, and increased precautions have been taken whenever Lord Allenby drives in the streets. An order has been issued that every high British Officer and civil servant must lie ptiblicly accompanied by an armed British escort, officers must carry revolvers, and officials have revolvers on their? desks.—Sun. The British authorities' have decided to hand oyer the arrested men to the Egyptian Government.—Retiter.
