CHEAPER. CABLES. (BY TELEGEAPIi—PRESS ASSOCIATION. r . WELLINGTON, Nov. 27. The reductions in cable rates, as already announced, will come into effect on December 1. The full rate to England drops from 2s 8d to 2s 3d per word, and the deferred rate from Is 4d Is These reductions vary slightly for other places. From the same date bight letter messages can be exchanged with Fiji. Ihere will also be a daily letter, cable service via Eastern lines to Africa and the East at one-quarter the ordinary rates.
