The death occurred recently at Rawhiti Hospital of an, old resident of Auckland, Mrs. Grace Edenborough, widow of the late Mr. C. A. Edenborough. Mrs. Eldenborough was born jn 1846 in Bankfoot, Perth, and came out to New Zealand in the Annie Wilson, October, 1863 (states the : Auckland Star). She leaves a, son and three daughters to mourn their loss. The death! occurred at Carterton on Wednesday morning of Mrs. C. Rob-, erts, widow of the Late Mr. C. Roberts, at the age of 73 years. The late Mrs. Roberts was born in England and had resided in Carterton for many years. Her son, Mr . J . C. Harp, and five“gra.ndehil<Jreh survive her. The death occurred on. Tuesday of a pioneer resident of Wellington, Mrs C. A. Spiers. The late Mrs Spiers, who was in her eighty-first year, was the daughter of the late Mr John Cole, of Karori, and was born in Chelsea, London. She came out to New Zea-land-with her parents when 11 years of age, and her home has been in Karori continuously through the 70 yeare since thdn. In bygone years Mrs Spiers’ services were much in demand as a nurse, and she was held in high regard by many old Karori residents. The deceased lady is .survived by her husband and one daughter and four sons and 15 grandchildren. For some years past Mrs Spiers had been an invalid.
