TUBERCULAR CASES.
DOCTOR’S OPINION (BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION. CHRISTCHURIOH, Nov. 26. The results of the newly evolved Dreyer’.s vaccine for the treatment of tuberculosis in Christchurch institutions has not been, greatly . successful, according to a report presented to the North Canterbury Hospital Board today. Dr. Mclntyre, in his report, says the vaccine was of no value in cases where the disease was actively progressive. In the great majority of slowly progressive or stationery ohronie cases there appears to be no appreciable difference, and there appeared to be no reason for believing that Dreyer’s method of preparing his vaccine showed any material benefit from the therapeutic point of view. “We have in the meantime, at any rate, abandoned its use in these institutions,” he added
