DRILL HALL DESTROYED
£IO,OOO DAMAGE. (BY TELEGRAPH —PBIsSS ASSOCIATION. _ WELLINGTON, Nov. 26. The drill hall, Lower Hutt, was destroyed by fire last night. The fire apPjV eil tly started in th© roof of a small office at the. corner of the building. Among the contents destroyed were six six-inch howitzers valued at about £ISOO each, hundreds of rifles and a. large quantity of small arms and ammunition. The loss is estimated at about £IO,OOO, which falls on the Government, and is not insured. This is the third time in two years that the building has been on fire, and it is thought that a spark from a mill close by may have been the cause.
