The newspapers’ comment on the marked contrast between the Englishmen’s fielding in the New South Wales’ second innings and their previous showing. It was generally keen and snappy. Gilligan and Kilner were particularly fine. During the lunch adjournment Gilligan placed a wreath on the Victor Trumper memorial tablet in the members’ stand, inscribed “In affectionate remembrance, from the English cricketers. 5 ’ N.S.W. SECOND INNINGS. GOOD SCORE BY ANDREWS. (By Telegraph —Special to the Star.) WELLINGTON, Nov. 25. . New South Wales, in their second innings, made 221 —Oldfield 19, Scott 2, Andrews, not out, 86.
